LCMS Fishing Team

The LCMS Fishing Team will be having a parent/student angler informational meeting on Tuesday, August 16th at 5:30 p.m. in the LCMS library. At this meeting, students who want to join the team need to be prepared to possibly find a partner to match up with. Each boat can have up to 2 anglers max. Boat Captains ONLY drive the boat, and DO NOT FISH.

Basic requirements to be on the fishing team include:

•A registered boat with insurance, a motor, and a live well

• A reliable boat captain that can consistently drive the boat for every tournament and is willing to travel

• All necessary gear to bass fish with (rods, reels, tackle box, net, lures, etc.)

• memberships to TN Bass Nation, Junior BASS, and Bass Nation (this can be arranged at the meeting)

UPDATES: This past Easter weekend was a BIG one for the LCMS Fishing Team! N. Bullock and J. Vowell finished 4th place in the middle school division for the Watts Bar event on the Tennessee/Sevierville Bass Pro Shops Tour. Over 260 boats were entered into this past weekend’s event. Together, the team entered in for the day an overall 7.69 lbs finish, with Vowell bringing in a lunker at 3.24 lbs! We’re so proud of our Laker Anglers and wish them the best of luck moving forward!
